About the artist:
Janelle Schneider is a mixed media artist as well as a digital artist for feature films. Janelle has had a life fascination with mythology, symbolism, and the role of the subconscious in art and art making and is currently studying both Shamanic and Druidic art/spiritual traditions. She is influenced by the writings and drawings of Carl Jung and the writings of Joseph Campbell, as well as the works of artists Frida Kahlo, Rothko, and Georgia O'Keefe. She's inspired by visions and dreams, indigenous wisdom, and the natural world and its forms. Her use of dreamlike colors, symbolism, sacred geometry, mandalas, and depictions of the divine feminine acknowledges the relationship between light, sound, and matter, and honors the inter-connectedness of All of Life.

Her work with the Mandala is a love affair of the heart. A circle filled with possibility, symbolism, stories, and healing, the Mandala is a reflection of the Outer within the Inner. Focused intention, invoked in the sacred space of the Circle, through the use of symbol and color, a mandala is a meditation manifest in form. Her mandalas can be used as concentration points for meditation practice, or to bring that vibration into a specific space, and to just be enjoyed as art.
